2nd MGC Conference 2025

The 2nd Malaysian Geotechnical Conference (MGC) 2025, held on 3–4 December 2025 at the prestigious Grand Wyndham, Bangsar, brought together Malaysia’s leading geotechnical minds, industry innovators, and regional engineering partners for two days of impactful knowledge sharing and collaboration. Jointly organised by the Geotechnical Engineering Technical Division (GETD) of IEM and the Malaysian Geotechnical Society (MGS), the conference continued its strong reputation as a key platform for advancing geotechnical excellence in the region.

With a strong focus on current challenges, cutting-edge solutions, and emerging technologies, the conference provided participants with valuable insights to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving geotechnical landscape. It also fostered meaningful networking opportunities, encouraging stronger connections among engineers, consultants, researchers, and industry leaders.

A major highlight of MGC 2025 was its collaboration with the IEM–CIE–HKIE Tripartite Seminar, hosted in Malaysia this year. The Tripartite Seminar celebrated the long-standing partnership between the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE, Taiwan), and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE)—bringing together three professional institutions to exchange multidiscipline engineering knowledge and experience on a regional scale.

In addition, our dedicated aMLT team took part submitting the technical paper titled “Recent Advancement in Pile Load Testing with WiNA Platform Based Automated Maintain Load Test (aMLT) Real-Time Monitoring System”. The paper was presented by our Managing Director Dr. Lee Sieng Kai under the Tripartite Seminar.
